ADULT PERIOD AND CHILDHOOD EXPOSED TO VIOLENCE IN ADULTS SEE THE EFFECT OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE

To examine the experience of domestic to see the effect of physical and emotional violence as adults in women with un explained medical symptoms. This study is based on the key hypothesis that women wiht medically unexplained somatic complaints are exposed to domestic violence in adulthood. The study was performed on three groups: the group (50 patients) with medically explained symptoms; the group (50 patients) with the diagnosis of chronic physical disease; the group (46 patients) with the diagnosis of acute physical disease. The analyses of statistical data validated our key hypothesis that women with medically unexplained symptoms are exposed to domestic violence, especially both physical and psychcological violence experience.

Bu çalışmada tıbben açıklanamayan belirtileri olan kadınların, aile içi şiddet yaşantısı bağlamında yetişkin dönemde fiziksel ve duygusal şiddet görmeye etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma, tıbben açıklanamayan bedensel yakınması olan kadınların, yetişkin dönemde aile içi şiddete maruz kaldıkları temel hipotezi üzerine kurulmuştur. Çalışma tıbben açıklanamayan belirtiler grubu (50 hasta), kronik fiziksel hastalık grubu (50 hasta) ve akut fiziksel hastalık grubu (46 hasta) olarak isimlendirilen üç araştırma grubu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin istatistiksel analizleri, tıbben açıklanamayan belirtileri olan kadınların aile içi şiddete -özellikle fiziksel ve duygusal şiddet- maruz kaldıkları şeklindeki genel hipotezimizi doğrulamıştır.
